Raising £125,000 For A Heart Nurse In Ceredigion

Posted by Llanrhystud Childminder On Tuesday, March 03, 2009 1 comments
I was sent this fascinating article today:

Calon Ceredigion Nurse Appeal
Raising £125,000 for a heart nurse in Ceredigion

The British Heart Foundation Cymru has identified an urgent need for a BHF Heart Failure Nurse to provide specialist care to heart failure patients across Ceredigion. It is coordinating a public fundraising appeal aiming to raise £125,000. This is the cost of supporting a new BHF Heart Failure Nurse to benefit local people in Ceredigion over three years, including salary, training and essential equipment.

We urgently need people across Ceredigion to get involved and support the Calon Ceredigion Nurse Appeal.
By offering to give donations of time or money, you can help us to save and improve the lives of people living with the pain and burden of heart disease in our local community.

Why is a BHF Heart Failure Nurse so important?

Heart disease touches us all. It may have already affected you, your family, colleagues or friends. A BHF Heart Failure Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring that heart failure patients are treated locally, in their own home, or at nearby outreach clinics.
