Most Popular Holistic Healer in Wales

Posted by Llanrhystud Childminder On Tuesday, March 30, 2010 2 comments
I was sent this fascinating article today:

Aberystwyth Healer Quintin Smith has had his remarkable work with acute/chronic medical conditions recognised at a prestigious award ceremony in Swansea. Quintin, who has only been living and running clinics across Wales for the past year received the award for "Most Popular Holistic Healer in Wales" at the Welsh Spiritual Acknowledgement Awards. His ovecerwhelming success in helping others saw votes flood in from his clients for the award. The event was promoted to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of Complementary Practitioners in many different fields across Wales and raised money for the 'Missing Wales' charity.

In browsing Quintin's website, testimonials demonstrate the variety of conditions and improvements that have been experienced as well as the vast array of Clients from all walks of life who Quintin has worked with including former Olympians, Gymnasts, an International Rugby Player, Dancers and Stars of the Stage and Screen.

Currently, Quintin runs clinics from his base near Aberystwyth and has recently opened clinics in Aberystwyth itself in response to requests from individuals who were unable to travel to his main clinic. He also runs clinics near Swansea and in Herefordshire and is expanding his clinics across the UK and abroad.
Aberystwyth should be proud of being host to the "Most Popular Holistic Healer in Wales" and long may support for his work continue.

To contact Quintin or for further information visit www.spiritquint.com, email spiritquint@aol.com, follow him at twitter.com/spiritquint or call 07968 781410

Aberystwyth Choral Society 40th Anniversary

Aberystwyth Choral Society celebrate their 40th Anniversary this year! They will perform Edward Elgar's Dream of Gerontius on Saturday April 24 at 8 pm in the Great Hall at the Arts Centre

The soloists will be Gaynor Keeble, mezzo-soprano, Adrian Thompson, tenor, and Simon Kirkbride, bass-baritone, and a full professional orchestra, all conducted by David Russell Hulme, who studied Elgar's music with Sir Adrian Boult, one of the composer's greatest interpereters.

The Dream of Gerontius is widely regarded as Elgar's finest choral work, and by some to be his magnum opus. The work's premiere was at the Birmingham Festival in 1900. It was inspired by a poem by Cardinal Newman, which relates the journey of a pious man's soul from his deathbed to his judgment before God. Gerontius retains the affections of musicians and audiences - as it did for Elgar. Once, in the middle of conducting it he leant over to Raymond Jeremy, (later the resident viola player here at Aberystwyth University) who was in the front desk, and remarked "I still rather like this, you know!".

Aberystwyth News In Pictures
This picture of 'Aberystwyth' taken on an winter afternoon – more precisely, it was January 07, 2010 and the time was 1.46pm GMT. My Canon PowerShot G9’s exposure dial was set to the Aperture f/4.0 setting and that the exposure took 0.001 sec, 1/1000th of a second, the camera was handheld. Other settings include the white balance that was set to “Auto“, being a sunny day – this setting helped me obtain that nice color saturation, which I later enhanced on my computer, using software that came with the Canon G9 camera.
