Vale of Rheidol Railway

Aberystwyth FC

Aberystwyth Town F.C. (Football Club), plays it's fixtures in the Welsh Premier League.

Founded in 1884, it's home ground and games are played at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth, the ground it's self accommodates 5,000 fans and spectators with a seating capacity of 1,002.

The team's home strip is green shirts with black and white trim, black shorts and socks, localy known as the Black and Greens. The away strip is yellow shirts with blue trim, blue shorts and socks.

Vocal fans and supporters sit in the Dias stand. In recent years some improvements, including 500 extra seats built to meet UEFA ground criteria have been carried out. The clubhouse renamed the 'John Charles Lounge' in honour of the Aberystwyth Town legend, following a fire in 2004 has been modernised and updated.

Park Avenue has a friendly atmosphere and welcomes supporters of all ages and families. Where both students and locals unite to support Aberystwyth Football Club.

From the South (Aberaeron/Cardigan): - From the A487 through the centre of town. Follow Great Darkgate Street (A487), past Harry's Bar in North Parade, keep left and take the turning for Queen's Road. Take the third turning on your left into Bath Street. The cinema is located on your right.

From the North (Bow Street/Machynlleth): - From the A487 down Penglais hill into the town. At the bottom of the hill opposite the (Y CWPS, Coopers Arms) turn right into North Road, take the second turn left into Lovedon Road at the bottom turn right into Queen's Road. Take the second turning on your left into Bath Street. The cinema is located on your right.

Aberystwyth Arts Centre Cinema

The venue is open daily 10am - 8pm except sunday when it's closed. The cinema sound system has great Dolby sound. The licensed bar sells a good selection of alcohol from beers to wines. For those of you that drive free parking from 5pm (please check this or you could end up with a parking fine) evenings and all weekend or you can always jump on a bus that takes you up to the University campus.

Guide dogs are welcome, the facility also caters for:
* Disabled Access
* Disabled person's Parking
* Disabled person's Toilets
* Induction Loop or Infra-red sound amplification

If you use credit cards for booking, a fee of 50p is charge for transactions under £5.00. Smoking is permitted in designated areas, look out for the signs.
