Charity launches local debt help guide for Ceredigion

Britain’s leading debt charity, the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS), has launched an online Debt Help Guide for the residents of Ceredigion.

The guide shows where to get free advice on housing, benefits and other money matters.

The Coalition’s plans to cut ½ million public sector jobs is set to exact a harder toll on areas like Ceredigion that are more reliant on the state for employment opportunities.

Ceredigion has a high percentage of its workforce employed in the public sector – a huge 42%. Many people living in this area will be worried about the possibility of a sudden dramatic loss of income.

Sunday promises a full-on show on the promenade, day visitors are welcome.

The Aberystwyth branch of the National Milk Bar on the corner of Corporation Street and Terrace Road, open in the town since the 1950s, is to close in October, 2010.
