Swyddffynnon's Lost Medieval Church

Posted by Llanrhystud Childminder On Wednesday, May 13, 2009
I found this fascinating article today:
Archaeologists have discovered the remains of a so-called "lost" medieval village church in Ceredigion.

In the village of Swyddffynnon, near Aberystwyth, it is believed to be Capel y Groes, which was last recorded on officials maps in the 1840s.

  1. Eddie Garcia Said,

I am fascinated with ruins. I should have been an archaeologist as much as I love finding things. Is this in Wales? If so, I want to visit some day with my wife and see Ireland and England as well. I will visit again and read more of your posts. Check mine out if you get a chance.
