Cardiff-based artist Jennie Savage brings her Guides to Getting Lost, a series of audioguides, to Aberystwyth. Sound recordings from walks through other cities guide you through Aberystwyth, inviting you to follow directions the artist narrates, enabling you to get lost in the geography of a familiar place. The acoustics of different places bleed into one another, familiar sounds from one’s own locality mix with the sounds of a foreign and less known city.
To download an audio file for a Guide to Getting Lost, please come to the Coopers Arms, 10/02/2009, between 7pm and 9pm. Please bring your MP3 players or iPods and any necessary cables to plug them into a computer.
