The Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth Rail Passenger Association (Sarpa) have sent their ideas to Trafnidiaeth Canolbarth Cymru (TRaCC) as part of the Regional Transport plan consultation.
Sarpa chairman Gareth Marston said: “It’s important that we now start making the right decisions.
“With the realisation that peak oil (supply) is now nearly upon us, we have provided a clear set of objectives for TraCC to use to help rectify the transport planning mistakes of the past.
“We hope that TraCC does not fall down the trap of pandering to parochial road schemes from self interested concerns that cannot see the bigger picture. TraCC must think strategically and look to the future.”
