Aberystwyth councillor and keen cyclist Alun Williams welcomed the development. "The new section of cycle path from Tanybwlch to Llanfarian via Rhydyfelin is a huge step forward for cyclists wanting to ride into Aberystwyth from the south and is already being used by both cyclists and walkers before it's even been publicised"

I think it's great to see these cycle routes open up the countryside, the busy country roads are not ideal for cyclists, now those who wish to cycle to work can do so safely. Combined with a healthier lifestyle and greener living, this can only be good for us all.
