A car has been driven into the front of a town's main police station during the early hours.

The green Rover 420 crashed into the main doors of the building at Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, shortly after 0530 GMT.

20-year-old Man Sent To Crown Court

I found this fascinating article today:

20-year-old man sent to crown court.

A 20-year-old man, of Borth, Ceredigion, was charged with arson earlier this month following a blaze at the Tabernacle chapel on 4 July 2008.

He did not enter a plea at Aberystwyth Magistrates' Court, and was released on conditional bail.

The next hearing will be at Swansea Crown Court on 6 February.

Former Guantanamo Bay Prisoners To Enter Wales

Former terror suspects from the controversial Guantanamo Bay prison camp could be re-homed in Wales within months.

They are likely to come to Wales as asylum seekers at first, as it would be considered too dangerous for them to be sent home.

Man Charged With Intentional Arson Of Tabernacle Chapel

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “A 20-year-old male from Aberystwyth has been charged with one offence of intentional arson being reckless as to whether life would be endangered at the Tabernacle Chapel in Mill Street back on July 4, 2008.”

He is due at Aberystwyth Magistrates on January 28.

New £104m Law Courts For Aberystwyth

Take a look at this, Aber is to get a state of the art law courts.

David McLean Developments has signed up to develop a £104m courts development for Her Majesty's Court Service in Aberystwyth.

The 37,040 sq ft development will include the County Court and Magistrates’ Court buildings, into one development, currently in separate locations in the town.

The law courts scheme will comprise of Magistrate’s Court, Civil and Family Court and a Crown Court. There will also be a conference room, court room and offices.
